Habit
❖ Majority Species of Gnetum occur as woody shrubs, vines, or broad-leaved trees and
grow in moist tropical forests.
❖ Two types of branches are present on the main stem of the plant, branches of unlimited
growth.
❖ The shoots are of two types;
-Dwarf branched with limited growth,
- Long shoots with unlimited growth.
❖ There are two kinds of leaves viz.
i. Reduced scale leaves
ii. Foliage leaves
