Causal pathogen: Cucumber Mosaic Virus
Vector: Aphids
Characters:
-Spots, streaks, or stripes of yellow,
-white, or green on leaves.
-Little or wrinkled leaves.
-A noticeable yellowing limited to the veins.
-Decreased production and stagnant growth.
-Fruit that has the infection looks mottled and has elevated, "warty" patches.
-Additionally, seeds and mechanicalbcontact can transmit the disease.
Prevention:
-To stop the infection from spreading, the contaminated plants should be removed and burned
or buried.
-Steer clear of chili crop monoculture.
-Choosing seeds that are disease-free and in good health.
