  1. 1. Aphrodite is commonly known as sea mouse.
  2. 2. Aphrodite is a marine burrowing form found in mud in deep waters.
  3. 3. It measures about 7.5 to 12.5 centimeters in length and is made-up of 30 to 35 segments.
  4. 4. Bodies short and broad, Oval in shape and dorsal ventrally flattened.
  5. 5. Thick long setae of the notopodium is iridescent, they are woven into a blanket which covers the dorsal surface (Back)including the elytra.
  6. 6. Ventral surface is flat, segmented and forms a creeping soul.each ventral segment contains stiff setae.
  7. 7. Between the blanket and the dorsal body wall is a space containing 15 pairs of elytra or scales formed from modified dorsal cirri.
  8. 8. Head is small, situated anteriorly beneath the dorsal felt and bears a single small median tentacle and two large lateral palps.
  9. 9. Intestine has long branching segmental setae which digest minute food particles.
  10. 10. Anus is situated at the posterior extremity on the dorsal surface.
